Service Description

Chair Yoga adapts traditional yoga to accommodate individuals with limited mobility, ensuring its physical and mental benefits are accessible to all, aligning perfectly with its inclusive philosophy of adaptability and accessibility. Chair Yoga and fitness is the most accessible form of exercise because it can be done in a seat and is easy enough for all levels. It’s great for anyone who has a limited range of motion or finds certain traditional yoga postures challenging. This delightful seated and standing workout incorporates both yoga to improve mobility and flexibility as well as fitness exercises focusing on building strong healthy bones and muscles. This fun, motivating 60-minute chair yoga and fitness class will leave you feeling great, both relaxed and energized throughout your entire body. A great mix of exercises and stretches in the seated and standing position. The chair is used as the main support prop along with hand weights for some of the exercises. Linking breath with movement you will be guided with easy-to-follow exercises benefiting the whole body. Class content: Seated breathwork, yoga warm-up flow sequence, strength and muscle work with hand weights, muscle mobility exercises, chair cardio exercises, yoga postures, standing series, finishing up the class with slow seated stretching exercises and a short meditation practice. Bring a water bottle, comfortable clothing, and a yoga mat to be placed under the chairs for grip and stability. Hand weights and chairs will be provided. All levels welcome. (Please arrive early for chair set up prior to class start)
